It is typically used for diaphyseal shaft fracture of the femur:

  • Superior biomechanical intramedullary stabilization of femoral fracture
  • Static and dynamic locking options
  • Cannulated nail enables guide wire controlled insertion
  • Cannulated implant inserted after reaming helps in reducing the hoop stress formation with reduced chances of bone splinter
  • Final reaming should be 1 mm - 1.5 mm larger than the diameter of the nail to be used as decided by prior templating
  • Stability is increased with the reamed technique, because the nail fits snugly in a longer portion of the femoral shaft
  • Straight nail without anterior bow gives 3-point fixation stability
  • Universal nail for right & left femur
  • Available in both titanium and stainless steel
