The Proximal Hip Stabilizing Advanced Nail (PHA) is used to treat stable or unstable pertrochanteric fractures, intertrochanteric fractures or a combination of pertrochanteric and intertrochanteric fractures.

PHA short (Lengths 170 mm, 200 mm, 240 mm)
Indications
Pertrochanteric fractures
  • Intertrochanteric fractures
  • 240 mm nails are additionally indicated for high subtrochanteric fractures
  • Femoral shaft fractures

PHA long (Lengths 260 mm– 480 mm)
Indications
  • Pertrochanteric fractures
  • Intertrochanteric fractures
  • Fractures of the trochanteric area with diaphyseal extension
  • Combined fractures of the trochanteric area and the femoral shaft
  • Pathological fractures, including prophylactic use
  • Malunions
  • Nonunions
  • Available in Left & Right

    - Lengths PHA short: • 170 mm • 200 mm • 240 mm left/240 mm right
    - PHA long: • 260 mm– 480 mm (left and right nails, 20 mm increments)
  • Femoral neck shaft 130°
Note
* This system was introduced with options of Lag Screw and Advanced Cannulated Blade for proximal locking in the same nail.The major advantage is that the surgeon can choose either of the two options intraoperatively. Since, we are using the same Lag Screw as our intraHEAL proximal hip stabilizing nail 3 PHNB3T and the same blade as Advanced Cannulated Blade as of Proximal Hip Advanced Nail PFABT, this helps the distributor to keep the inventory low.
