Cemented Femoral Stem
A cemented femoral stem relies on bone cement to fix the implant in the bone. A cement restrictor is advised to place down the canal to prevent cement flow in the canal. Most common causes observed are primary osteoarthritis, rheumatoid osteoarthritis, metabolic bone diseases, comminuted proximal femoral fractures.
