The GPC Unreamed Humeral Nail is indicated in open fractures of humeral shaft. They are available in stainless steel and titanium. Interlocking nail is available in length ranging from 18-30cm(2cm increments) and diameter from6-8mm(1mm increments).

  • Diaphyseal or humeral shaft fractures approximately 5 cm proximal to olecranon fossa
  • Humeral shaft fractures with smaller medullary canal

  • Since the nail is solid, there is reduced risk of pulmonary dysfunction from embolized medullary debris

  • Decreased dead space reduces the risk of infection
  • Compression can be achieved with distal locking and reverse hammering using nail insertion instrumentation
